As a birth Doula in the Kansas City Metro, I am here to help you plan and proceed with the birth of your dreams! Home birth, hospital birth, C section or natural, I am dedicated to make your plans a reality. In my training, I have learned techniques to lessen labor pains, position mom in ways unique to her own baby’s positions, and facilitate open communications with doctors and family members. I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, and I do not replace a trained midwife, OB/GYN, or nurse. I am simply here to empower the mother and help you and your partner work as a team. Knowledge is everything!

My services include:

Prenatal Visits:

Between weeks 16-20 and 36-38 we will meet up for your prenatal visits. During these visits, we will discuss what to ask your doctor, what feelings you are having, and how you feel about medications and other birth practices. I love meeting with you and your partner to show them how they can participate in the beauty of birth as well. Along with these meetings, you have full access to my cell phone, email, and any ways of communication that you need to keep in contact with me. Text or call me anytime! Ask me the questions you would normally google, I promise I am much less scary! I also include a birth binder full of coupons, places to find the best products, best registry sites, and cheat sheets for free stuff! We also fill this binder with affirmations, reminders, photos, and questions to ask the doctor. This is a positive time in your life and I am here to help those around you lift you up!

Birth Day:

When its baby time, I will be with you continuously. Your partner and I will be by your side the whole time! We will implement birthing techniques, positions, relaxation methods, and facilitate open communication with your doctor and nurses so to achieve as close to your birthing plan as possible. When baby is born, I will remain through the first hour to help you with any breastfeeding/bottle feeding and after birth discomfort. At this time you will be skin to skin with your precious new baby and soaking in every moment with your partner. (I might sneak a few photos at this time to give you later!)

Postpartum Support:

As I facilitate the birth of your dreams, I want to make everything as personal as I can. Some mothers do not need a postpartum visit, but it is included if need be. At this time I will check on moms mental health, as well as healing process. I provide resources to you and your partner to help answer questions you may have. I also specialize in exclusive pumping and would love to work with you if that is the plan you decide to take! (REMEMBER: I am not a Lactation Consultant and do not take the place of one!)
